Resources has joined GNOME Circle!

Hey everyone!

I’m proud to announce that yesterday, Resources has joined GNOME Circle! It now lives happily next to all the other awesome GNOME apps that reside within the Circle.

To complement Resources’ admission to GNOME Circle, I’ve also released Resources 1.6 yesterday with mostly internal changes and some new features!

Featurewise, Resources now supports commandline arguments to help with debugging and testing. Not only the main binary itself has been equipped with commandline arguments, its companion executable resources-processes has also been updated to accept CLI arguments, which will come in handy with debugging process and app detection.

If you didn’t know, I’m the maintainer of a graphical system monitoring tool for Linux, specifically GNOME, called Resources!

Today I have released version 1.5.1, which includes a couple bugfixes and improvements for Resources’ application for GNOME Circle.

I’d really appreciate if you’d give Resources a spin, installing it is easy from Flathub using your trusty graphical software manager such as GNOME Software or KDE Discover. Thanks. :)

Also, here’s a new cat image: Nali being peacefully asleep. 😴

Resources is a simple yet powerful monitor for your system resources and processes, written in Rust and using GTK 4 and libadwaita for its GUI. It’s capable of displaying usage and details of your CPU, memory, GPUs, NPUs, network interfaces and block devices. It’s also capable of listing and terminating running graphical applications as well as processes.

The app is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3 with source code available on GitHub. Resources is distributed mainly via Flathub, an app store for Linux compatible with most modern distros, leveraging Flatpak for easy deployment and sandboxing. There are also unofficial packages available for Arch Linux and Fedora Linux.
