Resources has joined GNOME Circle!

Hey everyone!

I’m proud to announce that yesterday, Resources has joined GNOME Circle! It now lives happily next to all the other awesome GNOME apps that reside within the Circle.

To complement Resources’ admission to GNOME Circle, I’ve also released Resources 1.6 yesterday with mostly internal changes and some new features!

Featurewise, Resources now supports commandline arguments to help with debugging and testing. Not only the main binary itself has been equipped with commandline arguments, its companion executable resources-processes has also been updated to accept CLI arguments, which will come in handy with debugging process and app detection.

Speaking of debugging, Resources’ debug prints have been greatly extended, especially in the app detection department.

I’ve also managed to cut down Resources’ memory footprint over time, though it’s admittedly still not quite where I want it to be.

Additionally, you can now change the CPU affinity and priority of a process in Resources’ new Process Options dialog.

As always, you can install Resources from Flathub using your trusty graphical software manager such as GNOME Software or KDE Discover.
